Bath

Bat/ Bath or Batth, a Jat clan found in Amritsar. And mostly this Gotra is founded in Sikh Jats ( also Spelled Jatt) , Crowther gives the following list of the Batth septs : Bat, Dhol, Jhandol, Pophart, Khairo, Jhandhor, Desi, Tatla, Anjla, Ghuman, Ghumdn, Khak, Dhawal, Janna, Randher, Madri, Sadri, Hoti, Seti, and Kirbat, which may all intermarry, ,All these septs are said to be descendants of Raja San-or Sainpal , who came from the Malwa 800 years ago. They first settled at Odhyara in Lahore. Khaira Jats descendants have two jatheras, Rajpal and his grandson Shahzada , who fell in a fight with the Kang Jats at Khadur Sahib in Amritsar. The bath are also found as a Hindu and Muhammadan Jat clan in Montgomery, also Raja Sainpal descendants founded Manihala Estate in 18th Century.
