History
We came to know about the Jat Dynasty of Shalpuri, from Memorial of Jat prince Shali Chandra of the fifth century, discovered 1820, in a temple at Kunswa, near the Chambul river, south of Kota.
According to the inscription of Kanwas, Prince Shalinder, the primogenitor of the royal family, was king of Salpur (409 AD). The Inscription was erected by Raja Shali Chandra who was 5th in descent from Shalinder. The Dynasty ruled parts of Malwa and Hadauri regions. The chronology derived from this inscription is as under.

- Raja Shri Shali Chandra, Ruler of Shalpuri.
