History

The jagir of Bihta ruled by Mand Jats. It was founded by Chaudhary Diwan Singh. Chaudhary Diwan Singh was a resident of Malwa region.He was blessed by the last Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Ji and who considered him as his son.

He later served as a general in the army of Banda Bahadur. The bands of Banda Bahadur attacked and conquered Ambala under the leadership of Chaudhary Diwan Singh. Chaudhary Diwan Singh later settled at Bihta village, after receiving the jagir of 5 villages and the zamindari of 22 villages.
