History
The Zamindars of Angai were an old family of Sikarwar Jat who originally trace there origin from Sikri but later shifted to Ganga Yamuna doab in the 17th century. Kunwar Shri Hukum Singhji of this family was a famous personality of his time. He was a close friend of Raja Mahendra Pratap of Hathras. He was a strong follower of Arya Samaj. He was connected with All India Jat Mahasabha through out his life. He took part in the movement for awakening and uplift of farmers in Shekhawati region. When the British Government refused permission to celebration of Maharaja Suraj Mal Jayanti, he accompanied the procession celebrating his jayanti and courted arrest. He donated land for Jat hostel Agra and opened a hospital in Baldeo.
