Sardar Katha Singh of Chahal

Sardar Katha Singh of Chahal, was born into Chahal Jat family, he was the founder of Chahal Estate along with his brother , later he and his brother’s was served under the Bhangi Jat Sardars of Lahore, Lahna Singh and Gujar Singh, who in 1764 had taken possession of Lahore. No one of them rose to any importance, but held small service Jagirs, Katha Singh of Chahal was killed in a skirmish on the borders of Bahawalpur, and his son Sardar Karam Singh of Chahal successor of his Estate.
