Lieutenant General Sardar Surinder Singh Mahal AVSM VSM Of Kathgarh, Was born into a Mahal Jat family , he was the direct descendant of Sardar Jhanda Singh , who was the founder of Kathgarh Estate , Lieutenant General Surinder Singh Mahal is a serving general officer in the Indian Army. Mahal was commissioned in the 41st Armoured Regiment in December 1984 as a Second Lieutenant. After commanding II Corps at Ambala, and the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) since April 2022.also he received many medals like – Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, Opration Vijay Medal, 50th Independence Anniversary Medal.
