Maharaja Sawai Balwant Singh of Bharatpur, he born at Jawahar Bagh, Bharatpur, 5th February 1820, into SinsinwarJat family , he was the son of H.H. Maharaja Shri Brijendra Sawai Baldeo Singh Bahadur, Bahadur Jang of Bharatpur, by his wife, H.H. Maharani Maji Sahiba Gangawaue Miraj Kaurji Sahiba, He was the Succeeded on the death of his father, 26th February 1825. And seized and imprisoned in the Fort at Bharatpur 28th March 1825, by his cousin Rao Raja Durjan Sal Of Bharatpur, The HEIC armies laid siege to the Fort and freed the infant Maharaja, 19th January 1826. Installed on the gadi, 5th February 1826. Reigned under the Regency of his mother until her deposition and then under a Council of Superintendence until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, 1835.He was married twice time first he was married into Picchore State of Donderia Jats in 1827 and second at Deeg, 22nd February 1850 with H.H. Maharani Sri MajiSahiba. He was died at Bharatpur, 21st March 1853,his successor was H.H Maharaja Jaswant Singh Of Bharatpur.
