He was a Salaklain Tomar (Pandavvanshi) jat cheiftian of village Bawali.
He called a Sabha of sarv-khap in 1574 samvat[A.D. 1517) in Bawli villagc: [khap Desh] under his presidentship , to consider the demand for help by Ibrahim Lodi to crush a révolt led by his brother. The Sabha agreed to send its army of 40,000 soldiers to the help of the Delhi sultan. The terms laid down for giving such help were:-
Freedom of religious beliefs and practices.
The sarv-khap panchayat should be free to function.
Hindu administrators or khap cheiftians from the sarv-khap area should be appointed as governors for the administration in the khap areas.
Expenses should be provided for the, panchayat armies.
These, terms were accepted by the sultan and the revolt was crushed with the help of the sar-khap armies.
