Sardar Bahadur Hardit Singh Of Chhinah was born into a Gill Jat family , he was son of Sardar Sodha Singh Of Chhinah. During the Mutiny Sardar Bahadur Hardit Singh Of Chhinah served as a Jamadar, and served with that distinguished corps till February, 1859, then he was promoted and served as Risaldar-Major, with the title of “Sardar Bahadur”, in the 9th Bengal Lancers. He became a Provincial Darbari in succession to his deceased brother, Sardar Jai Singh Of Chhinah, in 1876 and was recognised as the head of the family. He died in 1892.
