Sardar Bhag Singh of Buria, was born into Mannan Jat family, he was adopted by Sardar Nanu Singh of Bura with Rai Singh of Buria, when he was young led an expedition against Aurangabad, defeated the Afghans and demolished their fort. They seized about two hundred villages of the region. Then they made a division. Bhag Singh was assigned Buria with 120 villages, while Rai Singh got 84 villages including Jagadhri and Dayalgarh. Later both brothers was service under the Maratha Sardar Bapuji Sindhia who granted them the Jagirs of Jualpur, Rurki and Mangloor. Sardar Bhag Singh was died in 1785.
