Sardar Bhagwant Singh of Sohana, he was the son of Baidwan Jat Jagirdar Sardar Bhup Singh of Sohana, he was an excellent specimen of the better class of Sikh Jagirdar. He was lived an old fashioned life in his fort at Sohana held powers as an Honorary Magistrate and Sub-Registrar and used his powers on the whole with discretion and good effect. The Baidwans are a strong, turbulent set of men and is was fortunate that they had at their head a man who was capable of exercising much good influence in the country, and capable of exercising much good influence in the country and who really represented the people from whom he derived his income. He died in 1896.
