Sardar Jodh Singh of Rosa, was born into Sandhu Jat family, he was the younger son of Sardar Thakur Singh of Rosa , when he was young he was served under the Sardar Mahan Singh of Sukerchakia later he was served under Bhatti Jat ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Lahore in the Kasur, Pindi Bhatian and Jhang Campaigns; in the last of which he obtained for his bravery the jagir of Mohal and Draj in the Jhang district. He was shortly afterwards severely wounded at the siege of Chandiot. In the second Kashmir expedition, at Rajaori, he was killed in a skirmish.
