Sardar Rajinder Singh Sandhawalia of Raja Sansi ,was born to Bhatti Jat family , he was the second son of Sardar Narinder Singh of Raja Sansi,He was married to Sardarni Beant Kaur,and was a member of the Communist Party in Punjab, in the 1930’s. Known to be a rebel, he supported the Ghadar Movement, and when the British Government arrested him at Raja Sansi in 1936, he was imprisoned for 11 years in southern India. During his internment, he became addicted to heroin, which was a common practice,
clandestinely enforced by British officials to subdue prominent prisoners at the time. The family experienced severe hardships and Sardarni Beant Kaur, raised her four children with the support and generosity of Rajinder Singh’s brothers.

However, on his release in early 1947, his health had deteriorated, due to intoxicating drugs and later died in 1950.
