SardarSarup Singh Of Kanhaiya was born in 1869 ,into a Sandhu Jat family , He was the great-nephew of Sardar Chanda Singh. During the First World War in 1916, he helped the authorities in recruiting men for the British Army, and was accordingly granted eight squares of land in the Multan District (now in Pakistan) for services rendered. He held certain minor estates as well as a Jagir worth Rs 622 per annum; besides owning 73 acres of land at Sangalpura, south of Gurdaspur. He was died in 1889.
