Sardar Wazir Singh Of Padhana OBE, was born into Sandhu Jat family of Padhana Estate, when he was young he was served as an officer in Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s core bodyguards. after the downfall of Lahore Empire he was served under the Britishers and fought in many battles and received OBE, His two sons, Sardar Jiwan Singh and Sardar Mehar Singh, both served in the Sikh artillery. They both fought and died fighting the British, during the First Anglo-Sikh Wars, at the battles of Mudki and Ferozeshah, in 1845.
