He was born in 1946 Bikrmi into a Kang Jat family of Khamanon Estate , he was educated for five years in the Chiefs’ College, Lahore, and was appointed an A.D.C. to His Highness of Patiala in 1966 Bikrmi, besides the most responsible charge of the State Tehvilats. As a Member of the Coronation Durbar Committee of the State, he worked with signal zeal and capability and was rewarded with a Khilat and increase in salary. He was known to be a very sober and sagacious A.D.C., and a well-bred gentleman.
