Raja Bakshish Singh Sandhawalia of Raja Sansi, was adopted by his cousin, Sardar Shamsher Singh. Succeeded to the Raja Sansi Estates in 1871. Raised to the personal title of “Raja”, 1903. Also he was magistrate in 1889,and member of Ajnala Local Board. Also he was the received Prince of Wales’s (1875), KIH (1877), and Durbar (1903) silver medals. He was married twice time, first in 1875, the only daughter (died at Raja Sansi, 1889), of General Sardar Mahtab Singh Majitha. Second in 1884, a cousin of the H H Maharaja of Faridkot. He was died at Raja Sansi, 1907, having had issue, an only son by his first wife Sardar Raghbir Singh Sandhawalia, CIE.
