Sardar Teja Singh Of Thethar, was born in 1862 into a Sandhu Jat family,He   became a first grade Inspector of Police, as well as a Provincial Durbari. Later, he was appointed A.D.G to His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor of Punjab, Sir Charles Montgomery (1845-1926), until the appointment was terminated. He held half the rights to the vast properties of his father, and received a Jagir of Rs 450 per annum.
