As a result of Maharaja’s invasion of Bahawalpur in 1807 Nawab Bahawal Khan submitted to the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Of Lahore and promised to pay annual tribute regularly. 116 In 1808 Alam Singh the ruler of Akhnur, accepted the overlordship of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Of Lahore.
