Tara Singh Chainpuria, was a native of village Chainpur also joined the Bhangi confederacy and took a part in most of their campaigns. He held a Jagir of rupees 10,000 at the village of Cahinpur. Occasionally he transferred his loyalties and went over to Mahan Singh Sukerchakia, but in the end he chose to serve under Gujjar Singh Bhangi. After Tara Singh’s death Ranjit Singh occupied all his Jagirs and granted his son Chait Singh five villages including Chainpur.
