Tara Singh Kakar also know as Tara Singh Kang , was born into Kang Jat family, He was adept in warfare skills since childhood. They expanded their territory very quickly in a very short period of time , was captured Kothala, Nurpur, Phillaur, Siala, and a number of other villages along the southern bank of river Satluj. And when he died he was one of the most powerful jagirdars of his region.
