Raja Sarup Singh was succeeded by his son Yuvraj Raghbir Singh who was born in 1832. The installation of the new chief took place on March 31. 1864. and attended by the Maharaja of Patiala, the Raja of Nabha, and the Nawab of Malerkotla, Jind Fort, 31st March 1864 . Established his principal residence at Sangrur, which he beautified and remodelled, rebuilding the bazaar, constructing gardens, and building temples, water tanks, public buildings and metalled roads. Faced with a serious rebellion in 1874 within Dadri and other territories recently acquired after the Mutiny, but he took personal command of his forces and subdued the rebels within a month. Contributed a contingent of the state artillery for service during the Kuka outbreak in 1872, and 700 horse, foot and artillery during the Second Afghan War 1878-1879. Councillor of the Empire 1877-1887. Granted the hereditary title of Raja-i-Rajgan 24th May 1881. Colonel-in-Chief Jind Imperial Service Regiment (Suraj Mukhi). He was married two times first wife was H.H. Dadriwale Maharani Sri Sama Kaur Sahiba, daughter of Phugat Jat Jagirdar Chaudhari Jawahar Singh, of Dadri. And second wife was a daughter of Shergill Jat Jagirdar Sardar Gian Singh of Rajamajra.He was a man of excellent judgement and great honesty. He died on March 7, 1887.
