Sardar Kishen Singh of Ramgarh, A.D.C. , Assistant Chief Secretary to H.H Maharaja of Patiala, was born into Sidhu Jat family, he was the descends from the notable Phul dynasty alias Phulkian Dynasty to which the Maharajas of Patiala, Nabha and Jind well belong. He was a Rais and and owns the village of Ramgarh in the Ludhiana District. He was educated at the Aitchis Chiefs’ College, Lahore, where he studied for four years and passed the Diploma Examination of College with distinction winning two medals. Afterwards he joined the Agricultural College, Lyalpur, and studied there for a short period. As a student he was very diligent and a keen lover of studies. friend he is sociable, polite and gentle. He was appointed an A.D.C. to His Highness the Maharaja Bahadur, Patiala, and after six months’ training in the Chief Secretary’s Office, where he evinced remarkable qualities and aptitude to grasp things quickly, was appointed an Assistant Chief Secretary. He was selected a Member of the Delhi Coronation Durbar Committee, in which capacity he acquit himself so creditably that for the meritorious discharge of his duties was rewarded a robe of honour.
