Shahzada Shahdeo Singh Bahadur, of Pundrik-Ganeshpur. Also know as Kanwar Shahdev Singhwas born into Bhatti Jat family, he was direct descendants of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Of Lahore along with his mother, later accompanied by his uncle Maharaja Duleep Singh to Fatehgarh, Uttar Pradesh, in 1854. but eventually settled in Oudh in 1861.He was privately educated and for a short while resided at Benares (Varanasi) Under British surveillance. Rani Dakno was reputed to be the most beautiful and elegant lady of her time. She was tall, slender with a very fair complexion, possessing graceful manners and countenance. In 1860, her son married the daughter of Sardar Fateh Singh of Sagga, District Kurukshetra. The villages of Sagga, Kurak and Jatpura were bestowed on them as dowry. In 1861, the British Government exchanged the Jagir in Benares to Padri Ganeshpur, located about 12 kilometres southwest of Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh.It is here where his three children were born; Mian Sukhdev Singh, Maharani Harbans Kaur Sahiba Of Dholpur and Mian Basdev Singh, who briefly visited England for business purposes and while there met his aunts Princesses Bamba and Sophia Duleep Singh. As he died issueless, he bequeathed all his possessions and wealth to his nephew Maharaj Rana Udai Bhan Singh. His sister Maharani Harbans Kaur married in 30th April 1879 to H.H Maharaj Rana Nihal Singh of Dholpur.
