                • Sardar Trilok Singh Mann, was born in 1920 at Mananwala, Sheikhupura District, and had studied at Guru Nanak Khalsa High School,at Nankana Sahib, then in undivided punjab. He graduated from Khalsa College, Amritsar, in 1942. He was well versed in numerous languages, inchuding French. He joined the Jail Department, by appointment through the Punjab Services Commission, and was posted at Multan Jail as Assistant Superintendent. He was appointed Camp Commandant, for the influx of refugees, from western Punjab at Sirsa, and rejoined the jail department services, ensuring the rights and privileges of the prisoner's welfare, in hygiene and ration issues, for which he was highly praised by the inmates. During the national emergency from 1975 to 1977, he was appointed Superintendent of Rohtak Jail, where numerous senior political prisoners were detained during his tenure. After serving for thirty five years in the Rohtak Jail, he retired in 1979, receiving several accolades from the Indian Government. He motivated and apprised the people of Sirsa District, about the necessity of a separate SGPC for Haryana State, and he was a stern follower of the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib.
